DTMF- Dual-tone multi-frequency
Traditional numeric Messages (Call Back Number) sent to messaging devices via a touch tone telephone. Example - Caller dials recipient's Lift Number ex. 3175551212, hears prompt to enter call back number, enters 3175551213, and then disconnects. Recipient Lift device receives 3175551213 as message.

TAP – Telocator Alphanumeric Protocol
Numeric or alphanumeric messages can be sent utilizing this protocol. TAP paging messages can be delivered to Lift Messaging utilizing a variety of mediums. These include direct serial connections, dial up connections, as well as IP socket connections. Often devices that utilize this protocol have built in dial back-up restoration. There are many third party applications that utilize this protocol to send messages. Lift Messaging TAP input modem number is (317) 904 - LIFT (5438)

Numeric and alphanumeric messages can be sent utilizing this internet protocol. There are many third party applications that utilize this protocol to send messages. (Lift Messaging SNPP Address & Port - snnp.liftmessaging.net 444)

WCTP- Wireless Communications Transfer Protocol
Numeric and alphanumeric messages can be sent utilizing this internet protocol. There are many third party applications that utilize this protocol to send messages to paging devices. Address HTTP http://wctp.liftmessaging.net/wctp or HTTPS https://wctp.liftmessaging.net/wctp (HTTP port 80 or HTTPS port 443)

SMS - Short Messaging Service*
LIFT devices can receive messages from regular cellular telephones via SMS text messages. (*SMS service available on select LIFT numbers)
