How to Join the Android Beta Program
Android users can join the Beta program for early access to updates and features before they are available to the general public.
Some Pixel users have been adversly affected by the February 2023 Android security update.
These users can get LIFT running again by temporarily joining the Beta program until a public release version is available. Our current Beta version has a fix for these Pixel users, however we have a couple minor screen glitches to work out before releasing to the public.
Caution: Beta versions may also have minor bugs or display characteristics not expected in a production app.
You may leave the Beta program at any time via the Google Play store.
- On your phone go to the Play Store and search for LIFT Messaging
- The app should already be installed, if not install LIFT.
- On the app page, scroll to the bottom to a section that will say 'JOIN THE BETA'
- Tap the link that says JOIN
- It takes a few minutes for Google to process the request and the screen will say "Joining Beta"
- After a couple minutes if you are still in the Play Store the install button will change to "UPDATE"
- If you left the Play Store, go back and search for LIFT Messaging to return.
- Tap the UPDATE button to install.
As of February 07th your Beta version should be 2.6.8.93.
**Known Issues with this Beta Version**
- Upon initial opening of the app, some users are presented the logo and a blank screen. Return to the home screen of your phone and then re-open LIFT. This is a one time occurance.
- Some users state that a couple of the notification logos or internal logos appear 'fuzzy'
